Introducing BioAlign Care At Home

For the last few years, alongside teaching yoga here in Fresno, I've been building something else: a way for an older adult to keep living in their own home, and for their family to actually know they're okay.

It's called BioAlign Care At Home, and it's officially here.

Why I built this

I kept hearing the same worry, over and over, from people in my yoga classes: a mom who lives alone two states away, a dad who's doing fine until the day he isn't, and that question nobody can answer — if something happened right now, would we even know?

Pendant buttons only help if someone remembers to put them on, charge them, and press them in the moment. Cameras everywhere feel like giving up on privacy just to get peace of mind. Neither one felt right. So I set out to build something that watches over a parent at home — day and night — without a camera anywhere it doesn't belong, and without asking them to wear anything to make it work.

That's BioAlign Care At Home.

What it actually does

BioAlign Care At Home is one Android tablet for the home, paired with an optional radar sensor kit, that keeps an eye on the things that actually matter for an aging parent living alone:

• Fall alerts, day and night — including the bedroom and bathroom, covered by radar instead of a camera. If no one checks in, the family gets a re-alert.
• A help button right on the tablet, plus an optional wearable SOS button they can keep on them anywhere in the home. No wearable is required — the system works fully without one.
• Walking and balance, followed over time. The tablet's built-in checks track mobility and balance and roll it up into a simple Functional-Health Index, so you can see whether things are holding steady or starting to slip.
• Overnight wellness — breathing, heart rate, and restlessness through the night, plus an alert if they're out of bed too long.
• Medication and appointment reminders, with a big "I took it" button and a missed-dose alert to the family.
• A family app on every family member's phone, so everyone can see the same picture.

And it's private by design. Cameras live only in common areas — never in a bedroom or bathroom, where radar does the job instead. The tablet shows right on its screen when something is being watched, and your family decides who's allowed to look in.

Built to be ready in minutes, not days

I built BioAlign Care At Home for people who don't want to become IT support for their parents. The All-In-One Complete Package comes pre-configured — tablet, radar sensors, mounts, and plugs all set up before it ships. You open the box, plug it in, connect it to the home's Wi-Fi, and the screen walks you through the rest. What it costs

BioAlign Care At Home is $39.95 a month per household, with a 14-day free trial so you can see it working in your parent's home before you commit to anything. There's also an optional Yoga at Home add-on for $10/month, with live and on-demand sessions built around balance and mobility — the part of this I know best.

What it's not

BioAlign Care At Home is a wellness and safety monitoring system — not a medical device and not a substitute for emergency services. In an emergency, call 911. It's a tool to help a family stay informed and stay close, even when they can't be in the same room.
